driving me nuts!!

ok, about a year ago i got rid of my phone line connection.
we dont have dsl or cable where i live so i did a little research and ended up with hughesnet.

this is where the problem starts.. i got a new computer at the same time.
when i get an email from someone and it has a link, the computer wont go to that link, i have to select and copy and then paste, probably something with my firewall??

Then my biggest problem is when i get a receipt off the web or a picture i want to print the computer and printer print a one page receipt which prints nine pages or more of nonsense mixed with the info i need spaced sporatically.
this is driving me crazy, called the antivirus people( computer associates), not their problem..
called hughes net and after 2 seperate calls not their problem.( each call lasting over an hour, many times asking what did you say, english is a second language in india)
if anyone can help, it might save my computer from being thrown from a high window or me jumping out the same one

whats hughesnet? i have a sprint card for my laptop and a wireless router made for these aircards which sets my whole house up as a wifi area.

First off they are right, its not a problem on their side. But I need more info to actually help you out, such as what printer your using/ how is it hooked up, Computer, what browser you are using and just as much general knowledge you have. Im a computer tech, i will try to help you out as much as possible but its really hard trying to dely messages across the internet with not ever seeing your setup. If I had to make a guess right now, I would say its your browser. But does it print the 9 pages or what ever when you just print a file off your computer and not off the internet? Keep me posted i will try to help ya out as much as i can

ok the printer is an hp 5670 i think, im on the road right now and dont remember for sure.
im using internet explorer, mail is outlook express, tried thunderbird but couldnt get it to work. when i try to print a receipt such as cabelas or diesel manor etc... if i was to go into ms word it prints with no problem, sometimes i take a receipt copy and paste into word and print it that way, usually not sized right.
is this the info you needed??
I know this is a shot in the dark..

well, if you know it prints fine through word, then your browser has settings messed up, which would also explain the problems with the links, I would suggest using Firefox(Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable), its a free download and its much better then IE. Its alittle differant at first but it works alot like IE, plus it will automaticly transfur your favorites over once you run it the first time, and its a lot safer then IE, the security is way better. But if your heart is set on IE i would uninstall, then reinstall it which will automatic restore all your settings. And thunderbird is a program that will not work with a pop3 email client and requires you to use a support program with it to get it work(a big pain). Try that and let me know how it goes. And also what made you decide to go through hughesnet, i think their service is way overpriced for the download/upload rate they offer?
