Laptop screen falls.

Hey guys...I'm having a slight issue with my laptop. When I open it...the screen won't hold up it's own weight in the truck. Like when I take a corner, the screen will either close or open up all the way. I opened up the computer and there is no way to tighten the hinges. Anyone have any ideas??? It's really ticking me off.

Quit takin' it in the truck when you're pullin' 40G corner maneuvers... Should be an adjustment screw. What's your service tag number? I'll look it up for you.

Service TAG is listed as: BLKNY01
When I took it all apart lastnight I didn't see anything that could be adjusted.

The only reason I have it open in the truck is when I have the GPS going. I'm eventually going to fab up a mount for the laptop...but as it is now...I usually just have it either on the center armrest console or in the passenger seat.

Ditty,
I just sent you the service manual for your laptop. I didn't notice anything when I browsed through it, but this might help you.

Looks like someone renewed warranty and it just lapsed...

or put it in your seat and use the seat to prop up the screen -- thats what I used to do in my Progressive vehicle when my laptop lid was having problems
