Computer Help ASAP!

I need a new motherboard for my HP DV7-2040US asap. Mine overheated and the video card cracked so I need a new board. Does anyone know where I can find one for a decent price? Thanks in advance!

HP Pavilion dv7-2040us (NM094UA) Laptop Motherboards and System Boards for Notebook Computers

Just a quick google search turned this up. I've never dealt with them so no clue if they are a decent buisness or not. Buyer beware.

Unfortunately, most of the name brands have a proprietary motherboard in them, so you will have to replace it with the part# model #. As Davey~do said, just do a google search for it, here is my google search for it

How old is your laptop ?

What is the serial number, it should be a 10 digit number ?

With the serial number I can get into H/P system and check if under warranty and maybe come up with the service part number ( SPN ) for the system ( mother ) board.

The most reliable and fastest way to identify your product is to enter the serial number or product number from the service tag (such as CNU123456789 or RU477EA )
