im using that since someone in my house took my dell mouse.

acually its a dell 1440. the silver one is a dell 1720

btw, I don't know if this goes beyond your level of nerdocity, but I have totally given up on all other keyboards except the unicomp customizer. I used to have an assortment of ms media and dell keyboards like the one on your desk there and I just can't stand them anymore since I started using mechanical keyboards. Plus the clacking sound annoys everyone at work which is always a plus.
Why I'm telling you all of this? Not really sure.

hey j-rod,did you put the smoke tune on your comp??? 3 words dude...bad azz!!!! ha ha lol!!!! high idle mod speeds up processing too!!!! lol!!! hey, on a serious note tho, ill be sending the 100v idm to ya...the link you inserted in the post did it!!! i got pix and i wanna do a write up on it... the idm is modded and workin great!!! the only thing is,is that the idm has 325,000 miles on it... i dont think it matters tho...i dont think tell me if ya want it...you earned it!!!

meh, im good. plus i dunno if it will work on sd trucks. im more of a stock person besides the tw. and i didnt get the smoke tune. really dont care for that. but make the write up

Mechanical keyboards have actual mechanical micro switches under the keys instead of rubber domes over a logic board like most keyboards today. The keys have a really nice rebound when you type which (to me anyways) is a hell of a lot better than the mushy-ness of modern keyboards. My personal favorites are the das keyboard (yeah I know the name sucks) and unicomp customizer 104. Behold a new world of geeks who actually care (probably too much) about which keyboard they use.

I know the second one isn't a super fancy site, but I've ordered two keyboards from there and the guy who owns that company is super easy to deal with and didn't give a crap that I wanted blanks instead of winblows keys. His keyboards are basically revamped versions of the original model m from ibm. Buckling spring switches are badass. Well, as badass as a keyboard can possibly be I guess.
