I was an early adopter and got it the day it came out. Had to take original back a couple weeks later due to bugs but I have had the second one for quite some time now with no issues. Definitely join up with motorola's message board and you will learn some great hints to keep the phone operating at i's best.

If you go with it here are some must have apps:

advanced task killer
google goggles
droid light
shop savvy
wii finder
bubble level
unit converter....and a million others to your preference

I'm getting either the Moto Droid or HTC Eris - both have the Android OS. I have a crackberry Storm that isnt for crap! I'm on my 4th one in 6 months - constant problems and the storms cant handle but a few apps at a time. Its going to become a skeet puck.
