GPS - Magellan or Garmin

I have had both and ready to buy a new one, I liked the navigation of the Magellan but the Speed of the Garmin, i bought a magellan roadmate in 2005 and used it until 2008 then bought a Garmin, so im sure Magellan has faster start up and redirecting by now.

Any input from you guys on this, im thinking about the Magellan Roadmate 1700 or Maestro 4700, not sure on the Garmin though, the reviews i have been reading are saying the Garmins are freezing up alot.

Get a Garmin have had the same one for years. Still works great. Just put one in the mother in laws pickup and it is awesome...has the blue tooth for phone and everthing.

There are 3 kinds of people in this world:
The ones that make things happen,
The ones that watch things happen,
And the ones that wonder what the Hell just happened!
