i have no idea on this one. all the cameras that i have seen when doing video, automatically come up as windows media (or whatever is on the system). did you call up the manufacturer of the camera??

No, Quick Time is from Apple and they are know for being tight with their code.
What kind of camera do you have? Is there a setup menu where you can change how it encodes the video. The Quik Time play er is a free download from Apple, if you can't get the camera to output some other format you should just download it.

Did some checking Kodak uses Mpeg-4 which is the latest Quick Time format. However it looks like Realplayer 10.5 should support it (not first hand knowledge, I don't use Realplayer). So you might be able to just update your Realplayer.
