Im lookin into buyin a HD camcorder and i was wondering if you guys could give me some helpfull TIPS? I want to try to spend under a thousand and the reviews iv'e read most of them suck in low light. Im going to be filming trucks, quads, and mostly action stuff at all times of day (like night riding/driving and the dunes with occasional party or bon fires! All help is apperciated!! I know my 2 favorite brands are sony and cannon but i dont know what i should get that would be good for what i want to do with it.

Full stereo with a custom made sub box I built
Harley Headlights
Autometer gauges
SCT X3 with IDP tunes
BPD EGR delete and oil cooler
ARP Head studs
6.4L Banjo bolts

We just got one for well under 1K. It is a JVC Everio GM-MG630. I haven't used it at night but for just general purpose it has done well, and it is very small which I like.

Nope. The videos that I shot las t weekend loaded onto my laptop (Toshiba) without any problems, and then on to youtube flawlessly.

I had heard the same thing about JVC using the .mod format causing problems. When researching prior to purchasing, another member told me he never had an issue with this either.
