Hey all, I am originally from Littleton, Colorado… Soldier living on the east coast. I am attempting to get stationed at FT Carson. I am curious about emissions testing for our trucks. Last time I had a Colorado licensed vehicle is was a gasser. Any info would be great. FYI just got a turbo back 4" MBRP, I am going to keep my cat for inspections but wont run it any other time.
Thanks in advance |

Hey Nick, inspection policies change from county to county. But if i'm thinking correct, diesels do a safety only inspection, which most of the time does consist of checking for emission control devices. So I would talk to some of the local stations in fayettenam, when you get back State side.

In Fort Collins, I have to get mine tested every year for about $70 each time!!!
They run it on dyno to test emissions and do visual test. Luckily my truck didn't come with cat from factory so I lucked out, but other than that it passed with straight pipe and chip on stock. |

i know this is old. BUT u.s. soldiers stationed at fort carson, do not pay sales tax on vehicles in Colorado nor do they do the emissions testing. just make sure you have a copy of your orders bringing you to fort carson and such
