Anyone in the longmont area willing to help me out?

Let me just get this out of the way......

I'm a ****ing dumbass....

Now that we clarified that, i bought a truck with a promise of a title. he gave me some BS story, long story short, i trusted him and took the truck since i rode up 3 hours, dude let me crash on his couch for the night, helped me load my bike in the back, etc.... now im a dick 1.5 months later because im pissed off that two promises later, i still dont have the damn title.

It has a NC title/registration, and everytime ive called, they say they have no paperwork on file requesting a duplicate title, but tells me its free and clear, and all he needs to do is file the proper paperwork and pay $15 for a duplicate title. This guy doesnt seem to give a **** or take any responsibility for using tracking info on the supposed paperwork he filed twice.

So im wondering if there isnt someone up there who wouldnt mind printing out the paperwork for me, taking it to him, making sure MY address is where the title will be sent to, and send me the packet, so the ball will be in my court as far as sending the paperwork in via certified mail so i can follow up with it.

Obviously i need someone who is somewhat versed in govt bureaucracy who will make sure the paperwork has been filled out properly and fully so there is no more hangups.

Can you get in touch with him, or does he ignore you? If you let him know, and he agrees, I will make a trip down. Longmont is about 30 minutes away. Don't want to surprise the guy, and have an issue arise if it isn't needed...granted I would likely have enough fire power to over throw a small nation on hand. :lol

he does, and my buddy up there was supposed to go see him tonight, but i guess the guy "forgot" to print out the paperwork and he postponed it till tomorrow.... might keep you in mind if i round up a posse though... lol... thanks for the reply.

Guy sounds like a pain in the ***. Showing up with a torch and can of gas usually nets the best results in these situations.

yeah, its been one hell of a headache, but in the end, im the dumbass for trusting he would get it to me in a reasonable amount of time. :/

he did finally tell me he called the DMV and apparently the last two times he "sent the papwerwork" he has sent it to the wrong office.
