yaquina bay fishing and crabbing

wasnt sure where put this, but just went back home to oregon to visit some family. We went on a three day trip to the coast for some fishing and crabbing. Had a blast. The fishing wasn't the best but the crabbing was great. It was nice being back on the west coast. Forgot how beautifull it is back there. Saw alot of nice powerstrokes. Sorry for the boring post. figured I would share a couple pics with everyone.

Great pics! Did you crab by the NOAA or up higher? I have pulled a chit load out of that bay in years past! Now I crab out in the ocean and chase buts, tuna and ground fish. The central coast is the best !

we set pots right in the bay. just a little up river from the N.O.A.A pier, there was a nice sand bar that runs there. Had a couple of tides where there was only a 2 ft change in water, and killed em. Tried fishing during the day, didnt catch a salmon. There were silvers jumping all around the boat, almost could of just held the net out and grabbed one. still had a blast. really makes me homesick hust thinking of it now. upstate new york isnt any comparison

Thats why i do not travel much! Everything a guy would want to do is in this state! Two kinds of elk, 3 deer, pronghorn, bear, cats, wolfs, salmon/steel head year round, trout, bass, dungies, tuna, buts, snow sports, mt./rock climb'n and a few good people if you stay away from the bigger cities!
