depends on the size of the tank, house and what runns on gas. But it runs about 200-400 for a "tank" and usually lasts about 6-7 months almost all winter...My in-law grandparents have wind, solar for elect. only the back-up furnace and stove are gas and they fill their 250 gallon tank once per year or so they say.

it's used for the stove and to heat the house. Im looking at a house that is heated using propane and the guy said 1k each fill! and it has to be done 3-4 times a year!

Hello.
Depends on the efficiency of the house. I have a 500 gallon tank, that gets topped off every 4-6 weeks. Last year the billing came out about 200/month. We use propane for furnace, water heater, and stove/oven. |
