Colorado Outdoor Pics

Show us what you love about Colorado. Camping, fishing, hunting, wheelin, anything you enjoy about Colorado outdoors... Let's see them.

I will start. When I get tired of all the chaos in the city, I like to get up to the mountains and just get away. Here are a few pics of my last trip through Phantom Canyon.

Next time I will try to get smaller pics to post.

You should...Those pics only show a TINY bit of what Colorado has to offer. I moved here from Texas a couple years ago and as much as I loved Texas, I don't think I am ever going to leave.

Phantom canyon is between Penrose and Victor on 67. From Colorado Springs I usually head S on 115 to 50 W in Penrose, catch 67 and shoot north through the canyon into Victor. Then I catch Gold Camp and take it east until it meets Old Stage and drop back down into C. Springs. It's about a 2 hr trip or so depending on how many times you stop. Plenty of places to stop and take everything in.

Great pics Kent! I really like the view you had in those pics. I didn't see any elk the last run, but I did run across a couple of these bad boys that didn't want to back down.
