Hey Everyone just got back from Deployment

Hope everyone is doing good, got back from deployment on the 5th of Dec.
I decided to buy a bunch of stuff to upgrade my truck (engine and looks). I bought an Edge CTS as a monitor system (only) when I hooked it up and ran the diagnostic test I have a P0236 Turbo boost sensor A circuit performance caused by a restricted inlet/exhaust/supply hose, missing hose. Checked the red and green hose they were good but havent check the hose to the MAP sensor yet. Also maybe another subject or related to the previous one the prior owner had the 7.3v diode boost fooler installed and when I uninstalled it I only get 6 psi boost wide open, but I was looking for some inputs for that as well.

Glad to be back and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas,

Chris

Sorry I missed your post Chris. Welcome back and thank you for your sacrifice. I think it means more to than anyone could ever express and more people should do so.

As for your boost issue, the only thing I can think of is that filter monitor that is in the air box. It can throw a code and it's possible that your air filter may be a lil dirty OR if it was dirty in the past and the code was never cleared it would still be there.

What was your boost level before the fooler was removed?

Welcome back Chris.

Brandon, I don't think E99 trucks have a sensor on the filter minder. My 2000 didn't have any wires going to the filter minder. If all of the lines are not plugged or leaking and there are no intercooler piping leaks it may be the MAP sensor itself.

You may be right Scott. I've never noticed on our older trucks I guess.

What's that exhaust tube that runs up to the front of the motor with the sensor on it? I know it can cause problems. Can't remember exactly what it does. lol

That is the Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor. Unless you mileage or performance has dropped off there is no need to mess with it. I think I cleaned mine once in 245,000 miles.
