Headlight Warning Chime
I have a 1997 F-350 7.3PS. When the headlights are pulled on and the drivers door is open, I receive no warning chime. The dome light works with the door actuator, but I receive no warning chime when I leave my headlights on. Fuses are fine. Any suggestions?

My guess is someone unplugged the dinger box, its under the dash just to the left of the trans tunnel. Plug it back in and I bet it works right. If you don't want the annoying "key in ignition chime" remove the lower plastic cover on the steering column (4-5 screws) and unhook/tape up the funny single wire connector that slides in behind the ignition cylinder. I have pics of this if needed. |
