Cascade Coal Rollers (CCR)
Chapter By-Laws

I. Primary
Cascade Coal Rollers’ Chapter by-laws may not contradict the local chapter by-laws provided by Powerstroke.org. By-laws contained herein are in addition to those provided by Powerstroke.org.

II. Leadership
CCR will maintain a Chapter Director, Chapter Vice Director and Chapter Historian. These positions will hold no authority, but those holding them will; serve as coordinators for Chapter events, maintain a Chapter membership list, initiate polls for Chapter decision making and serve as liaisons between the Chapter and Powerstroke.org staff. These positions will be open to any chapter member with the exception of Powerstroke.org Staff.

III. Membership
CCR Chapter membership is open to any Ford Powerstroke enthusiast residing in the states of Washington or Oregon, AND a member, in good standing, of Powerstroke.org. Chapter functions may be attended by anyone, but only Cascade Coal Rollers Chapter members may vote on any matters pertaining to the CCR chapter. CCR logo must be located on the vehicle; location is up to the owner.

IV. Chapter Events
All Chapter events will be announced on Powerstroke.org, in the Cascade Coal Rollers chapter section. The Chapter Director and/or Vice Director will assist in coordinating events, however it is ultimately up to the membership to come up with ideas and plan Chapter events. Any gathering that draws 05 or more CCR Chapter members will be considered a qualifying event. The Chapter is required to plan and organize at least one event annually. Examples of an event include, but are not limited to; meet and greet, track meets, camping trips, picnics and wrench days. Participation in other regional or national events, such as NWDD and Smoke on the Mountain, can be considered a Chapter event, as long as 05 or more members are in attendance.

(Although not recognized as an official Chapter event, GTG’s, where fewer than 05 members are able to attend, are highly encouraged to promote the further sharing of knowledge and friendship building amongst the Chapter)

V. Chapter Decision Making
Any decision made by the Cascade Coal Rollers will be handled by the CCR officers. Officers will first address Powerstroke.org administration. Once administration has approved, officers will turn the vote over to its members in the form of polls posted on Powerstroke.org for all members to view and participate in. Polls will remain open for 14 days. Any decision must have at least a two-thirds majority vote from CCR members before confirmed. In an event of a tie or split, another poll will begin in which two-thirds of members must vote in the majority (50.01%), otherwise the matter with be handled by CCR officers and Powerstroke.org administration with the best interest of the Chapter in mind. Only CCR Chapter members may vote on any matter regarding the Chapter.

VI. Sub Chapters
Considering the amount of possible members in the CCR Chapter and the large geographic area covered by the Chapter, sub-chapters of CCR may be required. At this point in time, CCR does not recognize the requisite of sub chapters. However, when members initiate concern and desire for sub chapters the issue will be addressed and a set of by-laws will be drafted for each sub chapter that will follow the by-laws of the CCR Chapter and Powerstroke.org.

VII. Removal of Chapter Members
A member may be removed from Chapter membership at any time, at the written request of the member (to be submitted, electronically, to the Chapter Director). A member may also be involuntarily removed by a two-thirds majority of voting members. A vote for removal will be posted and left open for 14 calendar days. Grounds for removal include, but are not limited to, consistently rude or obnoxious behavior toward other chapter members, or any actions which bring discredit to the Chapter or Powerstroke.org.

VIII. Removal of Officers
Chapter officers may be removed from office at any time, at the written request of the officer (to be submitted, electronically, to the Chapter Director or Vice Director). Chapter officers may also be removed from office by a two-thirds majority of voting members. A vote for removal will be posted and left open for 14 calendar days. Grounds for removal include, but are not limited to, failure to perform the duties of the office, or any actions which bring discredit to the Chapter or Powerstroke.org.

In this event, or if a chapter officer is banned from Powerstroke.org, and if more than 60 days remain until the normal scheduled election process begins, A special election will be held. The current Director or Vice Director will initiate the nomination process; nominations will be taken electronically, through Powerstroke.org, for a period of 07 days. The current Director or Vice Director will then post a poll for voting, the poll will remain open for 14 days, at which time the poll will close and the elected member will immediately take over the Chapter officer position. Members currently holding a Chapter officer position will be excluded from the nomination process during a special election.

IX. Annual election of Officers
Annually, the Chapter will nominate and vote on Chapter officer positions. Nominations will be taken electronically, through Powerstroke.org, starting December 01st. The current Director will initiate the nomination process. Individuals holding current officer positions will not need to be re-nominated in order to be voted for. Nominations will be accepted for 14 calendar days. In the event that the same member is nominated for two different positions, the higher ranking position will take precedence. On December 15th the current Director will post a poll for each chapter position, voting will be left open for 14 calendar days. On December 29th the voting poll will close and the newly elected members will take over the Chapter officer positions on January 1st.

X. Amendment of these Chapter Bylaws
These Chapter bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority of voting members.

The only thing I see in any of it is the minimum g2g requirement because every g2g that is planned I am on call and can't attend but still am an active member on this site just my 2 cents

Individuals holding current officer positions will need to be re-nominated in order to be voted for, (or; Individuals holding current officer positions will NOT need to be nominated in order to be voted for.) nominations will be accepted for 14 calendar days. In the event that the same member is nominated for two different positions, the higher ranking position will take precedence. On December 15 the current director will post a “poll” for each chapter position, voting will be left open for 14 calendar days. I dont have a problem with them, in order to solve the members that are too far away we need the president to make sure there is at least one g2g each year that will accomidate those who have busy schedules/live on the other side of the state.

I agree. I'd hate to have members, like the two of you, who are quite active with the chapter online, go into an "unoffical member" status, just becasue of not being able to attend an event(s)

The minimum event attendance WAS a .ORG requirement when the chapters first came out, and most of the chapters still have it written in their by laws. I'd like to remove it, but wanted everyone's input.

Works for me. Should we put that in writing or is that under the discredit clause?
