bad starting 6.0

my buddy has a 2004 6.0 and says when its cold it starts like crap. runs like its low on oil clangs and shack all to beat heck. but then when warm it runs just fine. what got this be?

-370 injectors, DIY intake 6637, DIY fuel system, Built auto 3 disk TC billet shafts, 40 gal tool box/aux fuel. 100 fuel plate, advanced timing, 2.5 leveled, 35 M/Ts, 5in Aussie stacks, custome DIY functional air ram hood, one ton rear suspention, and just turned over 331,000 miles!

-four courner emergency strobe lights, L.E.D. emergency underbody strobes

try rev-x and what type of oil does he use?

Could be FICM, injector stiction, or just weak batteries. It is hard to tell without codes.

It is the brain for the injectors. He could do a voltage test to rule out the FICM. If I had my laptop I could actually find you a link to the how to thread.
