ALL CPA MEMBERS READ IMMEDIATELY

Guys,

Before i go and say what i've got to say, please dont take this the wrong way. I am in no way trying to be mean or rude or anything of that nature, so if it comes out sounding that way i apologize ahead of time.

Anyways, here's the problem

Participation. There's only a very small group of you who are actually posting in the CPA threads, voting on the polls, and so and so forth.

Yet, there is a HUGE number of you who have said you want to be part of our chapter.

Well, this isn't going to work the way its going. You guys are going to have to start participating, and voiceing your opinion on CPA matters, or there is no point in you being part of the chapter.

Now, i'm not saying everyone needs to post on here every single day by no means. Not everyone wants to/has the time to get on here everyday. That is 100% understanable, however I also believe that you guys are perfectly able to get on here at least once a week, and post up on things.
If your not able to do that, at least let us know your situation, and then we can work with u

If you dont wanna be part of the chapter, please let us know so we can take your name off the list.

If you do wanna be part of it, starting posting in these threads, join in on everything we're talking about, and help us come up with ideas for things to do as a group.

Stickers and T-shirts aren't made yet, but when they are made, only those of you who are actually active in this chapter and regularly particpate, are going to be eligible.

Thanks for taking the time to read this guys!!!

No, really. I back John on what he wrote. We were just talking about it on the phone tonight. Thats what I was trying to get at when I posted the add-on to the WNC dyno day thread earlier tonight. Nicely Put Buddy.

Well said John but it shouldn't have to be said at all. I too, am concerned about just how many "interested" members are going to be active. And that IS what it's all about. Ts and stickers will be cool, but we need participation.
I tried to get some participation at the Jamboree Nationals in Anderson last month. John hooked up with a friend to save fuel and Granny and her husband drove 4 hours out of their way that day to attend for an hour or so. That's dedication! (Derrick would have been there anyway, right?) Can't expect everyone to make this kind of sacrifice every time there is an event, but if you live in the Upstate of SC or Western NC, the June Dyno in Blowing Rock is a great opportunity to show your interest.
It would be great if everyone drove their truck, but heck, this is about friendships too and not just about trucks. (Can't believe I said that.) Carpool, or is truckpool a word? Let's make an effort to get there, somehow, someway.......

I feel better now!

Chuck, I do see you online some, and see you post. But even though you dont post regularly in the CPA forums, you are on here and thats a huge start compared to some others. There are people that have shown interest from the original get go, and not posted on here since. Not for the poll for names, poll for the logo, bylaws, or our first event. I wanna know where those people are.

No offense taken John. AT ALL!!! I agree with yall totaly. We have started something here that could be really great here. I too was looking at the list the other day that was made of our members and thought were the heck are these people?? I don't see them putting imput to our chapter. I agree not everyone can be online on a daily basis but every once in a while it would be nice to hear from others. I think I'm getting up on my soap box so I will stop. But I totally agree with you John we need more participation from others.

Well put guys, I totally agree. Now, I may be 6000 miles away right now and working 84 hrs a week, but I have managed to participate in whatever I am able. I feel really bad that I am unable to come to any events, but I will still help with whatever I can. That said, there is no reason that others can't do the same. Hopefully I can come home permanently soon.

Thanks for you guys' support. We really are trying to make this as best as we can, but we need people and particiation to do it. I see us getting really big and maybe getting a sponsor for the club one day, and having the ability to do alot more as a chapter!!

I know these folks don't want me to go "redneck granny" on them! Folks we have an great group of people here. Let's show the rest of them how these things should be done! I would love to see a nice showing of CPA members at Blowing Rock. It is a beautiful drive up there in the mountains and they put on a nice event. I went last year and had a really good time. I hope to get to meet more of yall there.
