Morning CPA-ers!! Man, Mardi Gras is awesome!! We went to our first of MANY parades, (they have like 4 a day here) and I had to wear a sign that said "Mardi Gras Virgin". Well, I aint no vigin no mo momma!! I have so many beads, I cant wear em all at the same time!! And thats one parade only. The parade tonight that is one of 4, is put on by ALL women, so I am gonna wear the sign again, in hopes to get some awesome beads. The ones everyone sees is the regular beads. Then, most "Krewes"(float goers) have special ones that cost big bucks! Were talking like 20 bux each! And they have TONS of freakin beads all over the place. Trees, cars, railings, doors, windows, people, you name it, its got beads on it. Oh, howd I get all the beads? FLASHING! DUR! No, not really, you just make yourself very known to the people on the floats and then they pick you out and throw you some. People actually get right up next to the floats beggin for em. Luckily, we are picking spots where its not congested with people so we can really get up next to the floats first. After last night, we put all the beads in a big bag, and weighed it, Me and jenn scored like 30 LBS of beads!!!! Holy crap, thats alot. I am gonna bring home all I get, cause I got some really cool ones. Gonna have like 400 lbs of these things ya know? New orleans is amazing! The architechture of the buildings is something else! I saw the Mighty Missisppi River yesterday for the first time. Its pretty big for a river! Ate good food too, and walked likie 4 miles around the city. Were taking the dam trolley today! hehe.. Well, hope you all are doing good. Kelly, glad to have you back, Chuck, sorry to hear about the meeting. Hope it goes well, and you come out smelling a little better than some of the rest, ya know what I mean? Later you all, gonna take alot of pics today! |
