I mentioned this in the main chat section a few days ago and now have some pricing and I need to know who is in on this deal. I have struck a killer deal for one of the best BY PASS filters on the market. This is for the Oilguard EPS-60, which is also the same as the Racor LFS 802. The standard bypass for our truck is the EPS-20, which is about four inches shorter. The EPS-60 is used in OTR trucks and heavy duty commercial equipment. This will also add close to two quarts of oil to our system. The filter element used in these filters also separates any water that may be found in your oil. These filters are not cheap, but quality seldom is. Depending on which info you go with the filters will capture anything down to 1 or 2 microns. I was trying to work a deal on these about a year ago and it never came together. But it is working out now better than I could have dreamed. Each unit purchased will come with the metal housing, top and bottom, heavy duty mounting bracket and a filter element. There will be no fittings that screw in the top of the unit. No big deal as they can be had for a couple bucks. You can get these in straight, 45 and 90 degree angles. My plan is I am going to mount the canister and get some measurements for the lengths of hose needed. Then I am going to have a local shop make up some SS wrapped lines and get the fittings from them. I am going to purchase two, one for my engine oil and another for my transmission fluid. At these prices it is just to good of a deal to turn down. The deal I have worked out right now is $95.00 for each unit and $7.50 for shipping. I need to get 12 units ordered to get this pricing but I don't believe this will be a problem. I am offering this deal to any member of the CPA. I will need payment right away, no IOU's on this one. No " I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a bypass filter today" , been there done that on the T Shirts last year and don't care to repeat. I will need payment by early next week.
