Next wrenching day.

I need to do my transmission bypass line. The last two weekends of October are filled with Halloween parties and anything before may be to short notice. So let's shoot for the first or second weekend of november. We can go out for lunch to some fast food joint but I think the Carolina ale house would be a good spot. There are lots of other options also. Anyone interested?

I'm not much of a mechanic, but this sounds like a great idea, unfortunately depending on the timing I may not be available, going to visit my son in Alaska some time at the beginning of November. Yeah odd time to go to Alaska I know.

It runs between the inlet and outlet ports on the tranny. It has a valve that will allow fluid to bypass the cooler if there is to much pressure and also aids in warming up the transmission during cold weather. My tranny runs a bit hot and I am hoping it's because this valve is stuck slightly open.

I will help you Belz, you want to bring it up here? Or do I have to drive 2 hours to fix another man's truck for FREE? LOL!!!! Also I don't believe the deal about warming up the fluid quicker in winter is true, where did you read this? I can't see how cold ATF will be enough pressure to open that valve. I could be wrong but I don't think so. My trans gauge won't move off 100 from Nov til March. We can work out the details as time get's closer, or just turn it into a full blown G2G, WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF, LOL!!!! There has to a park we can crash near you. Like I said we can always do WalMart's parking lot if we have to.

There is a park. And I can change the line myself but help is appreciated. I am trying to get the guy that built my tranny to change it and check the transmission out at the same time. Well, lets plan a wrenching day or get together around this time. I told you about the park with the volleyball court and basketball courts.
