August Blackout
Just wondering who has plans on or is thinking about making it to the August Blackout this year? I know August still seems a while away, but it is never to early to plan...This year it will be held on August 16 & 17...Would be nice to meet people in person
Annual August Blackout Info from Dennis @ NADP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are reserving spots for ALL competitors/racers/sponsors in the Pit areas and I would like to get a list together of all the racers who are planning on coming to our event. Please email me the following info to dennis@nadp.com Name: Race Class competing in: Equipment/Trailer space required: Are you bringing a Camper/5th Wheel/RV trailer?: I will then assign you a stall number and send you information on where it is, when you can gain access to the track and the rules/regs of the facility. If you are planning on attending but are not competing, info on camping, ticket costs, etc are also on the website. Now over $25,000 in CASH is up for grabs at The August Blackout. Nowhere else will you see one event putting up over $25,000 bucks in one weekend. Here is the break down: Drag Racing - sanctioned by NHRDA Pro Street: 1st $3000, 2nd $2000, 3rd $1000 Super Street: 1st $2000, 2nd $1000, 3rd $500 Pro-1: 1st $1000, 2nd $500, 3rd $250 Pro-2: 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $125 Sled Pull Shootout 3 Classes each paying 1st - $2000, 2nd - $1000, 3rd - $500 Burnout Contest 1st - $1000, 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250 Show n Shine 1st - $750, 2nd - $375, 3rd - $150 Show n Shine Fan Fav $200 |

I wish I could afford the fuel to head up there... But 1500 miles one way is a bit much for my pocketbook
I met Barry in Bowling Green back in April, seemed like a real cool guy. Said the blackout is one heck of a time. Have fun!
