460 gas to 7.3 PSD swap?

I have my eye on a 94 HR class A. I like the motor home, I don't like the high milage 460 ci gas thats in it.
Is it possible to change it to a 7.3 PSD?
Is there any big problems?
Will the transmission hook up to the 7.3?
Has any one ever heard of this swap being done before?
If it is possible, and I supplied the engine, What would be the best guess for labor expence for the change out? Thanks Terry

You'll probably need the following,
-motor
-trans
-instrument cluster
-electronics for the diesel
-fuel tank and system parts like fuel lines
-exhaust
-motor mounts
-all new coolers like radiator, tranny, power steering, ect..
-diesel generator
-dual battery setup
-might need a new driveshaft
-thats all I can think of for now
The 460 is a great motor and all I've expienced with them is that the exhaust manifolds crack and they suck fuel when heavy loaded.

Keep dreaming or try to find one that already has a diesel in it.

Well i have never done it, but the trans should bolt right up. Should be an E40D in a 94 i think. The dash in an E series is the same gas or diesel. No tach i don't believe. The hardest part would be the electronics. You could find an E series van and just swap the parts. They are not intercooled so you wouldn't need to add another cooler. Just some stuff to think about.

I've looked myself and RV's with 7.3s are VERY uncommon, at least up in MN. Its too bad.
