How do they mount in the rear factory receiver hitch
My hitch is tucked under to much for the pipe to come straight out. They would need to be atan angle to go under the box sides. Is that how they come? Anyone ever used the torklift brackets? Thanks for any help in advance!
No they have nothing to do with the hitch receiver. They bolt to the truck's frame. 2 per side, 1 forward and 1 aft. They work great, it's what I have. The part that the camper attaches to slides out of the part that is bolted to the truck so when the camper is off the truck you don't see the mounts. Any other questions fire away.

I see this thread is kinda old but I'll give some input. My dad had a slide in camper and the way it was secured was pretty simple. On the front of the bed between the cab and bed were one mount on each side then on the inside of the bed was a stress bar that linked the driver and passanger side mount. For the rear there were some mounts bolted to the rear bumper and that was pretty much it. Turnbuckles were used to secure the camper to the truck.

I have uesed the torklift on two my trucks and I think they are the best. On the 1996 the rear did bolt on to the receiver hitch and the fronts to the frame.

On mt 2007 the frant again bolt to the frame and the rear attach to the receiver hitch. the difference between the two of the trucks is that the 96 had to be drilled and the 07 ones are bolt on.

Go to the torklift site and find the model to fit your truck, or do a search and find a dealer near you. You won't be disapointed.

yep i did put them on back in december. I have only hauled the camper1 time so far but the system is way better than the happi jack ones. No holes in your box or bumper and no bumper twisting. This is the only way to go! Thanks for the input guys!

i'm ordering torklifts for my 99. problem is i think i don't have an actual oem hitch. i'm the third owner of the truck. who the heck orders a F-350 without an OEM hitch... if they intend on putting on just some whimpy aftermarket hitch? it's not a beefy aftermarket hitch or anything. anyhow.. so did your torklifts slide at all into the open crossmember ends of the hitch on either side?

They go in a little ways and then there is a bracket that clamps them on the the flange on the hitch. Its kindof a u shaped bracket that pinches the rear mounts to the hitch. I've had them on since december and haven't had any come loose. I've only hauled the camper once, when i picked it up. The only time someone wouldn't order a factory hitch was if they were gonna only pull fifth wheels or goose necks, but usually a hitch still comes with a tow pkg. I think you can order a universal rear mount for any hitch, but you need to see what kind of hitch it is and if the ends are open or boxed in. If there boxed then you are screwed. You would have to fab something up to mount them to or get an oem hitch.

i found out i have some sort of cheap aftermarket hitch, however Torklift makes a universal mount and i just need to drill a few holes in the hitch. i put on the front torklifts last night. i'm impressed.
