Satellite TV Options

What are you folks running on your trailers? I have directv at the house so I kind leaning that way. I don't want to get a King Dome system But I would like the HD option. Most places we camp have basic cable but with Football season coming basic isn't going to cut it for me. Plus we plan on tailgating a couple of games this year both college and pro and the Satellite would be awesome for that.

I have Dish Network at home. We used to have two receivers in the house. We would take the one out of the bedroom and use it. It worked good once we got the dish pointed correctly. They've since upgraded us to a dual input DVR so that receiver went away. I saw Camping World has a Dish network receiver. Been thinking about getting one, but it may not be anytime soon.

We don't tailgate or, at least, haven't yet.

That would even be great for unsuspected rainy days too

I'm interested to see what's used

I've got DirectTV in mine. The new DVRs from DirectTV only need one coaxial input so that makes wiring a heck of a lot simpler. I've got a roof mounted dish from Winegard but it's not HD so I had Direct bring out a new HD dish and a mobile stand that I set up in the yard. It's super easy to point if you can get a good solid north heading. DirectTV really wants to keep your business and they made every effort to keep mine. I've got an HD DVR in the living room and a standard receiver in the bedroom with a Google Sony TV. I'm a full timer so they came out and did the install using the movers connection for free with all new equipment. I know Winegard makes a roof mount HD dish for DirectTV but it's over a thousand bucks. If I ever uprgrade I'll do the auto tracking HD sat from Winegard. That way there's no more pointing.

I use DirecTV and despite having all the bells and whistles at home, I live with SD when out camping... That's my idea of roughing it!
