2004 F250 and carrying a slide in truck camper
Hello all, I am considering a truck camper to put in my 2004 F250. I have not seen anything in the manual regarding max weight in the bed. Have any of you had a truck camper in yours and of so, what was the weight? How did iit handle, how much did the bed dip down, etc.
Any info would be great Thanks |

Look at your GVRW, load your truck with what you would normally travel with..wife, kids, anything else etc fill the tank and have it weighed..front and rear axle weights..now compare to axle rating and GVWR on the door sticker..camper loaded cannot put the truck over the GVRW or the axle weights. Note sellers of campers, trailers etc all lie about the real weight so once you find one..don't but till you double check the weight by scaling it.
I would get a rear sway bar if you don't have one 30mm min, air bags to level the truck and good shocks..Bilsteins. |
