Diesel Generator Recommendations?

We were looking at picking up a generator for our new RV. Was going to buy a gas one when I figured it would just be better to pick up a diesel generator - should be much easier to keep filled when I install the aux tank in the bed of the truck.....

Does anyone have any recommendations? This is the one I'm considering at the moment:

Eastern Tools and Equipment DG4LE 4000 Watt Portable Diesel Generator

Well, no need for recommendations....

Was at Cabela's at lunch and they had a 3500/4000W Champion (gasoline) generator with wheel kit and cover on sale for $299. The price was too good to pass up....

That's the same as I have used for a few years now. Works great. And the price was great.

They are a little loud, but not too bad. I place a cover over it, leaving both ends open for exhaust and air intake. I point the exhaust side toward my trailer to help direct the sound. Or toward the lake, not toward the camp sites next to me.

Have never had a problem with it. Just remember to treat the gas for storage.

I didn't get the wheel kit though, wish I had!

Glad to hear it works pretty well. I've heard it's rated at 68 db. Not totally unbearable....
