Rockwood Ultralight 5er
Well, it looks like I may be taking the plunge on a 5er sooner than I wanted to. The wife has been revved up about getting one all spring/summer so we went out looking. Today I found a nice 2005 Rockwood Ultralight 8283SS. She's a beauty with every option you can get on them. It also only weighs in at less than 7K.
I can get this one for around $19,000 on the road and out the door. How does this sound to you guys? Also what kind of reputation does Rockwood have as far as durability? I will be calling the dealer on Monday to give him my answer. Until then I would appreciate any comments. Thanks! |

For what it's worth, I just got an '04 Jazz by Thor, 27.5 aluminum frame BH for 14K.

sounds like a bargain to me, (e'specially if it has all the bells) if moma wants it, then its a go....

As long as it is still structually sound, I would buy it. That a light trailer, too.
As for durability, As long as you care for it, it should be good. I try to never take mine too far off the beat'n path. The rough roads vibrates everything apart. |

That unit is identical to the one we are looking at. Unfortunately, it's on the west coast and we're on the east coast. It would be a once in a lifetime experience, but I can't see myself taking two weeks to drive out to CA to pick up a camper!
