I am planning to go with the softopper top for the truck. My use is going to be like you described. It will mostly be put away in the garage except for when its raining or i need to carry something I want a cover on.

I have decided I dont mind just sleeping under that as well if I need to sleep in the back of the truck. Most likely I am going to end up with a tent trailer at some point for the wife and munchkin to be comfortable in

Thanks for all the input!

the ones I saw folded up similar to a convertable top on a mustang except they folded towards the front. Then you could strap it down. looked like it would stay almost completely out of the way when folded. it had zippered windows on the sides too so you could use it like a bikini top. They are cool. Now you got me looking for one to replace my cap sooner rather than later.

Check this one out....I bet that it is pretty spendy and it takes up some of the cargo area at the front but this is way cool.

That is pretty cool but yeah, I would think they'd be pricey.

Either way, I move pretty quickly. I ordered from these guys a bit ago:

Truck Toppers, Caps and Campershells for Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Toyota, GMC, Mazda and Dodge Trucks

A friend of mine has one on his Dodge pickup and its pretty good quality. I liked the fact that its easy to install and remove.

yep...i will probably get the same thing that you bought....I will try to find it on e-bay though. I try to do that on high dollar stuff because you would be amazed at how much cheaper it can be sometimes. Let me know how it works out for ya.
