Generator Issues

ok, went to the rally, burned up, mighta had a slight case of heat exhaustion, dehydration, heat stroke? nauseated all day, nope no headache, so not hungover from the nite before, gen would not run for more than 30 durin the day, hottest day this yr on record so far (of course huh), would cool us down for the nite, turn it on like 7-8pm, run till bout 8am, then would shut off, only ideas so far r vapor lock, tech put in new pump, maybe inferior lines, put in like a big cpu fan in the area?

Works Ok at night, keeping you cool, but quits during the heat of day causing you to melt? Can't say for certain, but sounds like you have a temperature issue with the unit. Those generators use sensors and a circuit board that will shut down the engine from either low oil pressure or high engine temperature. You may have either a faulty engine temp sensor, or something is restricting the flow of cooling air to cool engine. Just a thought.

yeah, thinking it is temp related, cause when go to remove the side cover, that thing is way hottt, even kept the cover on the rv open to help not restrict any air going through the side. think tech that installed the pump messed up something, already had to redo the fuel line as it was crimped, so.
