Alaska Bound

Three weeks vacation and we are pulling the camper to Alaska, it's only 14 hours from my neck of the woods. We are heading to Skagway then Haines. Would like to know of the non touristy locations campsites or out of the way hideouts.

Hey Buddy, Hope you guys have a blast. The Alaskan country is Beautiful!!!!! If you get a chance, ride up highway 3 (i think it is??) and go to Denali!!!! They have some camp sites around there. But PLEASE be careful, there are a lot of dangerous animals. Which I'm sure you are aware of. I've been to Alaska 2 times and want to go again!!!! Take care!!!

Ferry to Haines? 1/2 hour that way or 350 miles by road. Nice hill down into Skagway. The Haines hiway has several canadian campgrounds by lakes that arent usually crowded. I like Kathleen lake. (LAC de Kathleen). Have fun.
