roof leak

Found a roof leak in my new camper, while the Awning was being installed the installer noticed the cranked up lid over the shower was broken up and suspected a leak, sure enough,so when we pulled the assemble out the insulation was soaked,I'm going to leave the hole open and try to dry it out before replacing the lid and re-installing it.I haven't noticed any spots on the ceiling .but did notice the back wall inside was not ridged like the rest,so I may need to pull the inside wall from the bathroom and see what gives.Nice way to spend a weekend.I bought this thing at an Auction,it sat unsold on a dealers lot for 3 years.and no warranty.

Your best bet is to reseal everything. Go to your local RV dealer and pick up a couple of tubes of caulking and strips and redo everything. They say the roof will last up to 12 years, however, the rest of it doesn't. It sucks, but at least you caught it early to where the damage isn't as bad as it could be.

Yeah, at least you caught it early. I try to check my roof at least once every year when I do a thorough cleaning.
