So, were your springs on top of the axles from the factory? I think this is somewhat common on newer fifthwheels. If you lifted it 7 inches with the axles already on top of the axles then that picture you have is really deceptive because it doesn't seem that tall to me. When you say braised you mean braced right?

Pictures would be cool, I always like to see other peoples fabrication work.

Anyways, looks good and have fun with it.

Lippert wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe to do so. It looks good!

I would like to see some pictures, I'm thinking of doing the same thing with mine. Did they send you plans or a drawing? Thanks

From the pictures. It looks like they built a cage that bolts or is welded to the main frame. With that the leaf spring perches are welded to that cage. Am I right?

Yea the springs were already on top. And yes I meant braced,,,sorry...LOL

I'll get some pics soon. The pic that I took is it being delivered back to the dealership where I bought it. They are fixing some stuff for me. Should be done mid-week, once I get it back I'll be sure to take some more.

They sent the drawings to the dealership where I bought it. Then the dealership had me go to the guy who did the fabricating.

Here's how I came about buying my 5'er. I had took my pull behind in to get the fridge fixed and on the lot was the 5'er. I started looking at it and the owner came out. I new that since I was lifted there was no way, so at first I brushed him off. A few minutes later he came back and I started BS'ing with him. I made the comment that it would be nice if I could still pull one and he said, "you can." That sparked my attention and immediately I started probing how. I'm not one to take a salesman's word, so I called Lippert and sure enough what the owner said was correct. Then I went back to the dealership wrote a check and he pulled it to my house where it sat for two months because the owner at the dealership wouldn't go to anyone but the guy who finally did the work. After picking it up, I new why, very good quality work.

Pics will be sent soon. Just getting a spot fixed on the roof, shouldn't take long...

On a side note, the camper barely even squatted my rig...LOL! It weighs close to 10K, I figured it would have made at least a little dent...

Just be sure to check with your insurance company to ensure that they will cover your lifted trailer.
