Not like I needed another reason to stay out of Cali...This certainly adds to the list to reasons to NOT live in that state.

Maybe this was posted, but I'll do it again. It shows the list Raul talked about of aftermarket parts

http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/80_BARRe...01-8-09_GC.pdf

This is 1 more reason why I want to MOVE out of this state. I just would like to know if any other state has the vast diversity this one does?

Nothing new or shocking. It was just a matter of time that it was going to get pushed on us. Going to get worse w/ Obama in office w/ his side kick clowns Pilosi and EPA.

Well, now that the state can place their own standards on the manufacturers imagine whats up next for older vehicles. If anybody knows of any group getting some sort of petition or anything together please post it here of start a new thread. Haven't looked heavily into it yet. I'll check SEMA. I'm sure we all have Toyota hybrid 3/4 ton trucks in our future. Won't that be fun pulling your 5th wheel with a truck making no noise. This one blindsided me.

Looks like vehicles manufactured before 1998 are exempt.

Isn't there a sticker or something somewhere that says "This vehicle equipped with a Catalytic Converter" or some such crap? I couldn't find it anywhere on my truck, though I do have a CAT installed.

I know, resurrecting an old thread.

There should be a sticker somewhere that indicates if the vehicle is 49 state or California emissions equipped. Some vehicles had no converter but would still have the Cali sticker.

Under the hood there is a sticker that lists emission stuff, It will say "CATALYST" if equipped with a cat.
I think is it doesn't have a cat it says "NON CAYALYST"
It will look like this one on a 2003 F350 with a catalytic converter
