Sonoma County Ford Dealers
I am going to sell or trade my 2005 Dodge 4x4 Quad for a new Ford 6.4 PSD S/C or C/C XLT Model. Anyone out there ever bought from the Petaluma or Santa Rosa Ford Dealers? If so, how were they to deal with and how are thier diesel tech's in the service department?
Any other Ford dealers nearby that is recommended also...... I do have my own financing and locked in for 90 days (Febuary 3rd 2009) w/ my credit union. So I can take my time and not rush a deal. Last edited by firemansdiesel; 11-03-2008 at 02:16 PM. |

I have never bought there, but wait until the last day of the month, that one day you are in full control, they will do just avout anything to make a deal. Get your own financing and have them beat it if they can. Couple of tips can save you thousands, I sold at a dealership for a while.

Wayne @ Hansel Ford is the service manager there, and also a Diesel Master Tech - we build engines and do all the machine work for them, he'll take good care of you and they do Lots' of diesel work. Tell him Nate@RPM sent you.
Why are you switching to the 6.4l? |

I have also delt with Wayne at Hansel Ford and couldn't be happier with the service that I got when my egr cooler and headgaskets went south.
Great service dept.!!! |

Wow, forgot about this post.
I get the itch every 3-4 years to get a new one. Even though I did drop some money into this Dodge w/ my Carli Suspension, truss, etc.... I bought from Hansel Ford and did talk to Wayne to pick his brain about the 6.4's and mods that can be done (while I waited for my truck to be p/u and detailed). Cool guy and made me feel better if I ever have a problem w/ the 6.4, that they can handle it. The salesman was an idiot though.I picked Ford because out of the three emission new standard trucks out there. Ford had the better overall fluff. Yeah, the mpg is not the best and the only real down fall of the new 6.4 engines. Dodge has isssues and Chrysler has no answers for turbo failure & EGR. The GMC looked better than the Chevy, but still did not want a IFS since I go out in the dez and off roading in general. Even though the Duramax is starting to be a great dependable engine. Next week I head down to Norcal Trucks to get my Icon/Carli Suspension installed along w/ 17" ATX Teflon Wheels wrapped around 35" Yokohama AT/S Tires. I'm leaving the truck stock (motor/emission) wise, but getting a Edge Insight to monitor some stuff.
