If you are associated with any DOD, Federal, or local gov. agency (i.e. - local fire dept.) Try looking in to the course that the USCG has in Petaluma, CA. It's a condensed coures, 3 weeks, and has about an 80% National Regristry pass rate (compare that to a semester long course with pass rates in the 40-50% with most other courses)

If that's not an option for you, a local community college should offer a course.

Good luck

Were you a medic or corpsman in the military? If you were in most instances you can challenge the testing process for EMT-B/EMT-P.

Daniel Freeman in the Los Angeles region is one of if not THE best medic training institutes in the US. Of course you'll pay through the nose but it's money well spent.

I'm NCTI alumni myself.
