Good Trails to go Offroading in NORCAL?

Hey guys,

Starting a new year and I am hoping to take my truck offroading to the trails. It would be my first time but I really want to try it out, especially since my truck is nicely lifted. Hopefully I can even go snowing somewhere near Tahoe soon. Do you guys recommend or know of any good spots? For snowing soon and also just regular trailing, when the snow clears? Thanks

How far do you really want to travel?

Up above Ice House Reservoir. There is a ton of places to go wheeling or just trail driving. Some great fishing up there as well. I absolutely love it up there. All the way from Ice House to Hell Hole would take about a weekend and is a beautiful drive. This is the Eldorado National Forrest between hwy50 and I80.
