Sears Point/Infineon Wednesday Night Drags

Hey guys and gals. I am planning on heading up to Sears Point/ Infineon raceway the first Wednesday of November for the open drag races. Anyone interested?

I'm interested. I'll have to put my muffler on, though.

Edit: I just noticed that you can't have non-factory tinted windows. I might go just to spectate.

wow, they won't let you race with tinted windows??? thats crazy!

They will boot you before you get to the tech line.. they dont allow lifted trucks there anymore.. the tech guys are a bunch of azz holes.. I for one will never go to that track again!

Sac doesnt care about the tint or lifted trucks.. there no longer a NHRA certified track. There tech inspection is easy and simple.

I haven't raced at a track since 1985! The last time I went, I borrowed my mom's '80 Celica and took it to Fremont. I ended up with 3rd place. Steve Evans was the guy who handed me my trophy.

I got a call back from Sears Point/Infineon today. I talked to Dave, the wednesday night track director.

I was told as far as tinted windows, if they are street legal then it is fine.

Trucks can be lifted but the center of the crank shaft can not be any higher than 36" above the ground.

Mufflers are required to keep the noise below 90db. They have a decibel meter that is at the tower and is always on. He said if I have no muffler than I get one run and if the censor does not go off then I can run more. If I set the censor off then I will be red flagged.

Vehicles under 14sec must have a helmet.

i attempted to change the name...I dont know if it is a glitch in the software...or if it because howard attemtped to fix it first (i guess that would still be a software glitch...lol)....but it doesnt want to change for some reason.
