SMOG?!?

So I just got my DMV renewal in the mail... Says that I have to have a smog check this year. WTF?? I didnt think that the law was in effect just yet.

Anyone had to do this yet? Any issues with it?

Oh and I also have to pay $559 in fees. FML.

Law in effect as of Jan 1, 2010. Half of all registered trucks get their first smog this year, and the second half get theirs next year. Much discussion about this already.

I know there has been, Im looking for someone that has had to smog it already. Mine is due April 30th. Which I think is the first day that they are requiring it on. =(
