I think you're good as far as SMOG testing. They are going to start doing 98 and newer next year. I don't think they do visual inspections on incoming vehicles, BUT...it's been several years since I registered a car I purchased at a private sale. You might wanna get the 4-ways fixed...just in case.

Where ya settlin' into over here???

Welcome to California's armpit, you'll quickly come to loathe Lemoore. If you have a military ID just leave it registered in Texas, it's costing me about $400/year hear. If you do register in CA, there is no inspection until the 2010 diesel smog inspections start. Depending on your VIN, you may still miss the smog check. Even numbers start 2010, odd numbers in 2011.

I'm blind, didn't realize you had a OBS . Your 95 is exempt from the smog, so there isn't any inspections needed.

Just imported my f450 from AZ and they didn't look at anything other than the VIN. You good!
