DIY Intake

Installing my DIY intake today. I'll post pics when I'm done, if anyone has any ?'s about how I did it or wants help installing one let me know. BTW less than 60 bucks!

I used napa filter 6637, a 4" piece of 4" exhaust pipe, a hose clamp, and some red primer and fire red paint. already had the paint, and napa gave me the 4" pipe free!!!!! Installed in about 15-20 min at a cost of $59.76!

looks good.

when i did mine i took the shiny heat resistant furnace tape stuff and put it below where the air filter sits and above on the hood to keep it from sucking dust from the liner on the hood.

I also got board and made a custom battery box for easier access to my coolant filter

no dought, i think i could eat off the battery i just did the same thing today, exept i removed the afe, to install the 6637. so i had to fab some pipe and a hose, but was able to keep stock batt. tray and cover. nice job on yours

Thanks fellas. I tell you it's hard to get them that clean, just go to the dealer and buy them. Just bought it not even a month ago. The only thing I had to do was flip the pipe that went to the airbox around backwards to get it to bend correctly. Thanks for the complements! Makes me proud o' my old girl!
