Ignition stuck off, key wont turn

2000 F450, 7.3 liter, The keys(tried all 3 of them) will not turn the ignition in the slightest. No amount of wiggling, jiggling and just plain abuse of the steering wheel or the automatic transmission shifter will unlock it.

Possibly the neutral safety switch? Anyone know of a common issue with this aside from the usual key stuck in on and wont turn off?

My key did something similar to this. I had to get a new key cut. My factory keys had worn down and wouldn't engage all the tumblers

Is the steering wheel locked? If you turn the wheel when the truck is off it locks and makes it impossible to turn the ignition on. To fix it you have to turn the wheel while you turn the ignition. Maybe thats your problem

Love tap

After finding the schematics for the column and pouring over them to locate a possible cause, Checking the column lock didn't work. I used my magic hammer. Googling, I found another who has has this problem and he simply tapped the key into the ignition with a small hammer twice. I did this after hosing the innards with WD40 and viola, it freed up immediately.

Mine did this and I had to replace the cylinder. Had to drill it with isn't too bad. pull the covers off the bottom of the column and right under the cylinder is a pin that locks the cylinder in place. Drill that out and comes out with a little motivation.
