5th Wheel Placement
I have a 1 ton/350 Diesel/Crew Cab/ Long Box Where is the correct placement for a 5th wheel hitch, so I have the proper weight balance and missing the cab

I dont know about 5th Wheels but when i install Gooseneck hitches they need to be about 2 inches in front of the axle. I also found this web site that might be helpfull. Trailering 101 - A Word About Goosenecks. |

right over the axel is fine...a little forward is okay too...just don't go behind the axel.
