super cab rear door won't open

I got a good deal on this truck and was told the rear super cab door on the passenger side didn't open. Upon closer inspection, the top side is unlatching but the bottom won't release. I pulled the interior panels off and found that the cable isn't connected on the bottom. I tried to reconnect it but that didn't work. I've tried wedging a screwdriver in the bottom to see if I can't unlatch it , but no luck. I'm wondering if it may be seized. Anyone know how the $&^ I can get this door open? Hard to replace the broken part when I can't get to it.
