one other thing. can you bounce the truck with your own body weight? your shocks may be shot too, they can cause your truck to rock or bouce when you hit a bump. check it out and let us know!

Good luck.
Most of what is underneath is dirt.... After I solve this problem I'm going underneath with a pressure washer, Ospho and undercoating.

Good deal on getting it all cleaned up. i would definately paint or change the stabilizers too. the corrosion on theer makes me wonder how it was taken care of, how it was driven and maintained. i hope you get it all figured out. get some pics up when it is all done so we can check it out!!!

As for taking it back to the dealer.... I'd prefer not to. They serviced the brakes on it before I bought it. They failed to tighten the passenger side caliper and the bolts backed out. I have a pretty gouge in my rim now from that. Besides that I've put 7500 miles on it since then so they are just gonna make me pay for it.

Well I went out and bought new shocks and a skyjacker steering stabilizer today..... Pulled the old kit off and found that one stabilizer was completely shot and the other was bent.

Once the paint dries for the new brackets I'll throw the new kit on and see if it fixes it.

ok its fixed..... I think......

But the sway bar is coming down and touching my drivers side bracket when the suspension is compressed. Any ideas?

I washed most of the dirt off with the pressure washer tonight but I still need to hit the rest with a scrub brush.

i dont know how particular you are with your truck, but i am a nut about it. i like to be clean as can be. when its nice out, i will actually clean underneath, get all the dirt and as much of the rust off as i can, then ill take some flat black spray paint to the differentials, and the springs, anything that was black from the factory gets a new coat. looks like new when i am done!!!!!
