SPEED-O PROBLEMS on my 2003 FORD F-350
Just bought a 2003 FORD F-350 CREW CAB DUALLY, diesel, automatic with 250-k miles.
The problem is all of the gauges work fine, tack works fine but the speedometer shows to be running 40 miles per hour at idle and up to 90mph while driving at 60mph. It still clocks miles on the odo but did notice at time the speed-o drops to nothing and at that time the odo flashes green lines accross the center where the miles should show. Any idea on what I need to do??? |

Also notice the ABS is on. I tried my little scanner to see if there was any codes and it shows the system passed and no codes found.

VSS is bad in the rear differential.

VSS?? Meaning the abs sensor or speed sensor depending on what dealer you ask? On top of the axle housing?
By the way, I like you details on you truck picture, thats cool. |
