I haven't but I know a few who did. Basically, it is useless. Most people are who are blending are using 80% veggie oil, 14% gasoline and 6% isopropal alcohal. This mix has been around along time.

As for me. I'm going with BIO because I don't drive long enough to make a veggie oil conversion worth it.

Google WVO blending. Thats all it is. They are selling a recipe for blending that is incomplete. I am blending currently but I won't discuss it on this forum. PM me if you have any questions.

Ive used DSE (over a hundred gallons) in my truck with no problems and it is easy to use. Like WVO, the biggest concern is dewatering/filtering.

Also, DSE requires no conversion. I have had no problems with my truck.

I think it burns okay but your pump will suffer an early death because it is thicker fuel.

I suggest trying the flashpoint experiment like Chenry had told me to do. It was one thing I never really thought about until he had brought that up. You should be heating the oil, BEFORE it reaches your motor!

There are several things wrong with their product and system of filtration. I have switched to straight WVO system and a GRAVITY centrifuge for cleaning. Been running WVO for a couple years and about 60K miles. Theres more to it than most conversion companies reveal. Especially in the far north with -30 temps. Much more challenging running WVO up here.
I am very interested to know what these several things wrong are. I use Dse and have no problems, but I don't know all so please let us know some specifics.

Thanks,

For one they really dont filter well, how are they getting rid of suspended water in the oil? I was under the impression that heat was really the best way to do this. I'm still convinced on using a heated filtering method. They also ship their product regular mail, so probably wont be long before someone catches on that they are shipping hazardous material via regular mail with no warning labels or anything. You can make the stuff yourself for 1/10 the cost of what they are charging you, or you could just not mix the DSE crap in all together. I ran one tank of blended before, and I did NOT use the DSE additive, I swapped it out of the mix and put in my opti-lube XPD instead.

1. Cold starting. Below 50, good luck
2. Coking of rings and injectors.
3. Their filtration method.
4. You WILL get some hydrogenation in you oils you collect and animal fats as well. Try running that cold thru your stock filter.
5.You will go thru stock pumps on a regular basis. Using their filtration methods, buy lift pumps and filters in multiples.
6. Water and injectors dont mix....for long.
7. Gravity alone will not remove suspended water that you DO have.

Sorry about the rant. These are just from my experiences. Sounded too good to be true, and it was.
