I didnt try it. I cant remember what the mystery chemical was. I just remember the info that they sent was not well put together and looked pretty cheesy.

waist veggie oil is a great idea, if you do it right. i actually have been doing as much research as possible as it would be really advantagous for my girlfriends dad...who tows a large fifth wheel.....im no expert, but from what i have gathered, it is either do it right....or you will be messing with it over and over again. try PMing veggie destroyer....he has done his own and i bet he has so me trial and error for ya....i would be really scared of any chemical that would change the complexity of any potential fuel product, instantly supposed to make it burnable.....just my opinion......

well i did a little research on this secret diesel thing. and from what i've read you add a few things to the oil. one of which is unleaded gasoline. and they're mystery chemical is some kind of paint thinner supposedly colored with dextron. i found this info on some biodiesel site. can't remember exactally what all they said about it but it did not sound good. you know what they say, if it sounds to good to be true.

Cheap fuel

They had a program on that do-it-yourself TV show and used old cooking oil plus lie and something else. Willie Nelson is pushing it a-lot. I understand that it burns clearner and smells like french fries out the exhaust. I have had some come into our shop and the grease around the fill neck is enough to turn me off. Mike OB

Willie and investors actually opened up a plant here, haven't seen any available at the stations yet though.

And they are using used oil from Kettle Chips, so I wonder what it will smell like?

Grease around the fill neck??????? That would turn me off as well.

brew your own

the only problem, your not supposed to use the fuel on the road. since it is not taxed, it is considered tax evasion, and yes people have been charged for it. there is dye in fuel so it can be checked easy on the roadside. (d.o.t)
people used to use heating oil because it was cheaper.

as far as burning veggie oil, it needs to be heated up to 170ish degrees to be able to flow and burn in the motor. there are kits to buy that runs coolant from the engine to the holding tank for veggie oil. you have to start the truck on reg.fuel first (to warm engine coolant up) then switch to veggie tank.

i think it would be great to run veggie oil, but its alot of work if you collect the oil yourself. it must be strained very well to use.

veggie oil can be very simple to run....if you are willing to purchase one of the really expensive "filtration and storage" tanks......along with all the heated cooling lines "12v supplied heating.....less runtime on actual diesel"......it can cost as little as 350 bucks to run veggie...and HOURS of your time.....or it can cost as much as 5-8 grand.....it all depends on what your doing and if you even need it as to what is best for you......my father in law (we are not married..but might as well be) runs a 3500 dollar WVO system....but he travels a TON....carries barrels with him....and has an in tank filtration system.....he figured it took 13 months to pay for itself...hes retired and travels cross country on trips constantly......Marc
