Please note that biodiesel and straight vegetable oil are two COMPLETELY different things. Check out the know your fuels sticky for more info. I know I sound like a broken record, but misinformation gets people on the wrong track when it comes to biofuels, and it's all fun and games until someone loses an injector. Then you end up with threads like "Bio sucks." Read about the differences between biodiesel and SVO, decide what works for you, and do it right.

I'll be honest, I've never put much faith in blending, but what are you using? Do you heat at all? How many miles? Have you done a compression test lately?

this is my answer to the 2 tank system...

1 all fuel line 5/8ID
1.5 custom A1000 fuel pump. soon to be magna flow 60psi or more
2 MIX WVO WITH DESEL IN WINTER OR UNDER 50 F
3 START ON WVO MOST OF THE YEAR.
4 COOLEST MORINGS USE BLOCK HEATER on first start of the day

bought excursion 84k 134k all wvo. blew up motor with water meth forgot the water burnt a ring or 2 heheheh
installed 02 +rebuild tranny 1yr later tore up the tranny just got ats w/trans command.. coking injectors well hey thats why you need to use a water meth sys to help scavange and clean engine.. just my crazy plan ..working and evolving sice 3-03 . rght now my filter box at home s dirty i only get about 500 mile per filter change. reg s like 1500- 2000.
if i cant make 20 lbs of boost I change it REG is 23-26max

Veggie, are you using anytype of water/meth injection now to clean engine and prevent coking? What happened and what caused your engine to fry if you dont mind me asking? what kit are you using and what would you reccomend? I too am a blender, in my TDI, just bought a 7.3 I plan on blending too soon as I get the front end all fixed. Also are you lowering your oil change intervals to prevent coking of the rings? what are you doing differently with this engine so as not to mess it up? you can Pm if you want to, JohnyRRR@yahoo.com

Talking yea

v got the cooling mist kit . it came with several spraing tips. i used the biggest
I went to home depot played with the boost pressure activation swithch and set it way too low. i also had like 90 % methanol. got on freeway hammered it . IT was preigniting reall scarry rattling knocking.. so i gont off the throttle and Boom was nt sure but i knew was baddd.. i looked back to see if parts are flying off like the midas commercial.. SMOKEd AFTER THAT ON START .
TURBO SEAL WAS GONE THIS IS BAD BECAUSE OF THE POSSBLTY OF RUN AWAY DIESEL ENGINE ...soo much engine oil goes down past turbo in the intake and the engine runs it self to death offf its own oil

but this didNT happen . after i burnt the rings i was ready to do real CRAZY testing
so drove from sf bay to mount shast and bac oil used synthetic oil 15-40 .
MIXED W VEGGIE AND DESEL wont do that now but it did work

o yea oil well i am useing AMS OIL. THEY invented synthetic. im an using the 5-30 heavy duty desel oil yea 5-30 . ths helps alot in starting. less fwction more spninyeess.
ppl on there site have normal oil changed of 100k or more . i figure ill go 15k and do oil anyalisiss hehehe cant spell
