This is what I love about this site. When you think about a mod for you truck or just trying something just ask. Usally there is someone here who has tried it already. And thanks Clay, I feel somewhat smarter. If I ever decide to change over I'll certainly want to pick you brain about it.

Glad i could help, if you decide to switch over, i will try my best to help....just remember, theres hundreds of gallons of free fuel at all those resturants you drive by everyday being given to rendering companies for animal feed when it could be powering your PSD. It's so entertainig to watch people raise there nose and sniff the air with a big ol ? above there head when i park next to them and they have there window rolled down....

A month or so ago, i pulled up to the door of a quick shop and ran in to get some snuff, my tailpipe was pointed right at the door and about 3' from it and it was idleing so when i went in, so did alot of chicken exhaust smell and the lady behind the counter kept sniffin the air with this funny look on her face and then another guy opened the door and let even more in and she finally sniffed and said "you smell something burning"? I just grinned and said "nope". LOL

It is possible and it will work for awhile untill you coke you rinjectors and rings.
Don't know how long that would take really...might work 100k miles, might work 2k miles.
The good thing about the PSD is the fuel runs through the fuel rails which acts as a heat exchanger to heat the oil before its injected...the cold startup though is what will kill it. Don't really know about the factory fuel filters in that application either....might be too thick to filter properly.
I wouldn't try it.
I would (if i were you or anyone else here) use about 4 oz. per tank of vegi oil to put some lubrication properties back in the fuel.
